Review of Fisher Investments

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been with Fisher Inv. for almost 15 years..ever since I retired in 2007. I have had about 3 or 4 different advisors and each one has been excellent. I have never had issues contacting Fisher nor receiving the service I requested.

Investment Strategy

Fisher Investments - Investment Strategy
Two complaints for Fisher. They were trying so hard to get account they lied. I was told that the combined wealth from wife and I would be treated together for over $500k threshold for 125 basis point rate. Yes, I should have read the fine print better, but the lie stuck. Secondly, they take your money and throw it (all at once) into a basket of stocks with no consideration for market Volatility, the selective PE on the given equity, or any cyclical consideration. Look back to December2021, very hi PE on growth stocks, market was making noise of a correction. No matter, to Fisher, the lack of caution cost massively as Q1 played out in the growth sector. The sensible strategy would be to selectively buy in after examining each, as most individual investors would and stay away from stocks with PEs in the hundreds.

Changes made in investments

At the beginning of this year 2022, Fisher investment decide to change some of the investments in particular the Roth and Joint accounts. Fisher sold stocks in oil, computer hardware which included IC and chip manufacturers, walmart and costco, to name a few of the stocks. Most of these stocks also paid dividends. Purchase in its place stocks that do not pay dividends, are sensitive to interest rates and most have not made any money. I am retired and do not have 10-20 years window to wait. A prime example is FB. owned this stock for at least 3 years, the stock portfolio value is now negative. It does not pay any dividend and all indications will not recover any time soon.

FB turned out to be a great investment if you waited. 2022 was a horrible year for everyone. Think long term.

Wondering why we are being bombarded with his commercials again?

After his comments about women in October in 2019 I don't feel it appropriate that his commercials are again appearing on CNBC.

Rude and Aggressive

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
On top of not being very good at their jobs, these are the absolute rudest people I have ever dealt with in my professional life. Constant calls and harassment while trying to get you to give them money, and then can't seem to get back to you when things go to *** They act like they are doing you a favor and not working for you. Choose a different firm.

Fisher does not recognize my SS #, birthday or Zip code. Fisher cannot be reached on weekends. If they do not get back to me soon, I am going to pull all my accounts out of Fisher and try a better firm.

Fisher does not have your accounts. They use third party brokerages like TD Ameritrade, Schwab etc and then make trades in those accounts. Amazes me that you don't understand how it actually works.

I gave all my info and never heard back. Is this a scam

Same as above. I gave sin#s, all my investment information and never heard back from fisher. I am scared of a scam

Tv commercial

Was it by design, or accident, that you have the good guys in your commercial played by a man of color, and a white women, but the bad guys played by three white men? Certainly you could have had one of the bad guys played by a women of color.

You would have played to every body,, and offended nobody. Looking over your reviews I am not surprised.

i had some reservations but went for it.I feel the (brokers? are just salesman and all stuff is routed through UBS.They charge $15.00 per order,Schwab-Siebert-Fidelity 1/2 of that. All the info i gave them was not recorder as to what securities were not to be traded. The deal was 1.25% charge per year and now i am getting charges that are hard to explain and many foreign tranx fee"s?????????????????

You can choose any brokerage firm you want to hold your accounts. I have my accounts setup with Schwab and pay no fees and Fisher manages these accounts.

Sounds like you didn't do your homework in selecting the best brokerage to handle your accounts. That's not Fisher's fault.

really? you are so offended by the demographics in a commercial that you came here to complain?

I'm sure a white male like you has been soooo oppressed throughout your life. You are probably the type of person who calls others snowflakes while you continue to get all in a huff about little things like this.

Denial of Account

I called them with $450,000 to invest and was basically told to buzz of because I did not have AT LEAST $500K to invest. They don't want to waste their time on lowly people with less than $500K to invest.

Ken Fisher investments touts how much better they are than their competitors .They lost $75,000.000 of my money in 1 year .At that point I couldn't stand the losses & went back to JP Morgan , my original financial consultant . Who made me whole in 1 year .

Why did you ever leave JP Morgan not you we’re happy with them? Additionally, considering the market in the last 8 years prior to 2020, you pretty much could have set it and forget it and still would’ve made money.

It would’ve been almost impossible to lose money.

Seems like you may have another agenda? I guess it’s ok for you to not be truthful.

Poor service Amatures on every level

I stayed with company for 5 years thinking service and communication would improve. It did not! They can't even execute a simple order or provde the correct address when needed. I'm truly disappointed in this company. The financial advisors cannot be more than 25 and don't know their heads from a whole in the ground. They can only read from a script. I have to wonder if ken fisher is aware. Either that, or no longer cares! Buyer be ware!

During the 2008 financial crisis they did nothing. Before, during or after.

No reallocation. When I talked to them all they did was push annuities.

Ad nauseum. Tends to go all in on some overly risky with higher fees.

Its normal to win and lose when investing. But its heart breaking when you know you have been cheated. I was caught up in a scam with bitsane last year that cost me 25BTC. This guys came up with a fake story of being hacked when it was actually an insider affair. Luckily i was able to track and recover my funds thanks to fightingscams at AOL dot com. I strong recommend them to other victims going thru similar situations. Together we can uncover the truth and save millions of other people.

Is it worth compromising your morals to invest with a 'lounge lizard'?

I wrote this email today (10-12-19) to the person who would have handled my account with Fisher Investments:

"I don't know if you feel bringing a new investor into the fold is like having sex with someone you just met and conquered, but we sure know your boss does!

Closing a real estate deal, for me, was always a rush, and if it was equal to sex, I kept it to myself. I certainly didn't want to give anybody the idea I was in it for the wrong reasons.

The rush came from a 'good message meeting a good person and getting a good reception'.

I never felt like I had just gotten into a new girl's pants. Ken Fisher's sleezy pronouncement brought to mind that Access Hollywood tape.

Yeah, I've also engaged in 'locker room' talk...but not at 68 years old (I'm 73)...and not in front of an audience that included a goodly number of female CEO's.

What was he thinking...or not thinking? When you become a billionaire, you're above the law (of decency)?

Reminds me of the guy currently in the White House. When I got into real estate in 1991, I read his 'Art of the Deal', shook my head, followed my instinct to do the opposite, and have been forever able to look myself in the mirror.

It wasn't until years later we came to know he felt he could grab as many women by the p***y as he wanted, (or shoot somebody on Park Avenue), and get away with it.

I could not and would not, with any semblance of conscience or consciousness, ever vote for tRump, even if he was really and truly and solely responsible for any increase in my financial portfolio...

...and I will not support Ken Fisher by supplying him another ***

you females went gaga over the guy running for potus when he put shades on and stuck a sax in his mouth altho some women had previously accused him of you know what... same thing with brett kavanaugh on scotus.....you females remain quiet for 37 years until politics motivates you all females to libel and slander someone for your personal gain and attention....we should impeach you all.

Well all of that is pretty obvious; Ken Fisher likes Trump and this guy isn't happy about it. Unfortunately, that is the only excuse needed for many stupid slime balls to initiate cowardly attacks.
